This dictionary is the online edition, revised and completed, of the Diccionari general de l’esport ('General Dictionary of Sport'), a work created by TERMCAT in 2010, in cooperation with the Catalan Union of Sports Federations and several Balearic and Valencian federations, and supported by the Government of Catalonia, the Government of Andorra and the Government of the Balearic Islands.

The current dictionary brings together 11,893 terms, belonging to 89 different sports, besides multidisciplinary areas.

Clicking on "Consulta de termes" (‘Term search’), terms can be looked up in three ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language), using the thematic access or making simple or advanced searches in the upper space "Text de la consulta" (‘Text search’) in any of the dictionary languages.
